Seems like a good idea, but what if your logging into a website from a public pc etc etc. You will not have your cards available to do this

What kind of security does it offer from an outside attack "stealing" your cards? How can the assure that won't happen? Great idea, but like Richard said, what if you're on a public PC. They should sync it with the Live Services.. :0

with regards to public PCs, I think i read that they're working on the idea of having the cardspace cards on a USB Key, so if you were using a public PC, the files would never actually be on the PC, which sounds like a good idea (until your USB key gets stolen I suppose)

This seems like a user friendly approach to something very familiar... X.509 Certificates perhaps? This paper should designate if it's an open standard or something that only works with MS products. Looks sexy though.

well if your are using public pc your cardspace should be kept on a vault and then you first access your vault to get cardspace and then go on. so this means microsoft should make another secure space to keep card's and then you can roam around anywhere and all you need a key to have access to the vault.

How many online vendors would be interested in adopting this technology ? how fast the existing infrastructure can be changed to use card space.
